About the Conference - "NCFN 2024" :

Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Nursing is overwhelmed to organize its 3rd national conference 16th February 2024 on the Theme of Forensic Nursing: Impacts, Aspects and future Perspective of Forensic Nursing in Clinical Setting. This conference is graced by the eminent personalities who are expert in the field of Forensic science, forensic medicine and forensic Nursing from all over the Country.
Forensic Nursing refers to the intersection of nursing science and the criminal justice system. Forensic nurses play a crucial role in providing healthcare for patients who have been victims of violence, abuse, or criminal activities. They are responsible for identifying, treating, and referring victims to appropriate authorities, while also preserving any potential evidence that may be presented in a court of law. Forensic nursing is a relatively new field that combines the expertise of nursing science, forensic science, and criminal justice to protect the legal, civil, and human rights of victims.

 
About SVKM Trust
Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal has been established in the year 1919, by a Philanthropist Pujya Chhaganbha. The basic principle preached by him “કર ભલા હોગા ભલા” has been the driving force for the growth of the education activities managed by the trust. Having started with just 6 students then, today the trust manages and runs various schools and colleges both at Kadi and Gandhinagar with more than 50000 students being educated. Of these 50000 students, around 8000 students, both boys and girls, stay in the hostels being managed by the trust.
The trust is being nourished by the society on the whole and managed by its alumni who occupy respectable positions in the society. The overseas Indian Community showers in donations to benefit the students for providing them better facilities for study as well as stay.
The trust has always been in the fore front for provision of value based education to all the students in schools and colleges irrespective of Caste, Creed, Religion etc. Keeping in with the main motto “Kar Bhala Hoga Bhala” the admissions to the various courses are strictly conducted on the basis of merit.
The trust also has taken up activities like adopting anganwadi’s and Government Schools at Gandhinagar and is very much committed to take these initiatives forward with rigor for betterment of the children in these places.
 
 
OBJECTIVES

At the end of the conference participants are able to: -

l. Describe more about essential concepts of forensic nursing and Versatility of forensic nurses in dealing with traumatised, victimized victim.
2. Identify the role of forensic nurse in examination of victims and preservation of Evidence.
3. Explain the global response to victimology, traumatology and toxicology.
4. Determine the Opportunities and need for forensic nurses in medicolegal system and professional nursing education system with Indian perspective
5. Brief about Indian judicial system and legal procedure related to forensic nursing.
ABOUT C.M. PATEL COLLEGE OF NURSING
Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Nursing, It has been established by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal under Public Private Partnership in joint venture with Government of Gujarat. The college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council. The r college offers Auxiliary nurse midwifery, General Nursing and Midwifery, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters of Science in nursing and a variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students.

We invite registered delegates to submit abstracts relevant to the theme for oral presentation during the conference. The abstract must not exceed 300 words in times new roman with font size 12 with title bold capital with the name of the author.
